Have you ever wished you could just try some boudoir selfies at home just to dip your toes in but didn't know where to start? Here are some great tips on how to do just that.
These will get you even more excited to book your own professional boudoir session when you finally get in front of the camera and see how beautiful you are! A full boudoir session is an experience every women deserves to have! Its all about lighting when taking the best selfies! Getting by a window with nice window light will make your boudoir photos sooo much better. Do you do any social media videos at home and have a ring light? Thats perfect too! Seeing your light to hit you at a 45 degree angle is the most flattering instead of straight on which causes flat lighting that isn't very interesting. We want the "Oh that looks pretty" type light!
Next make sure to clear out you space that you are photographing yourself in so you don't have any clutter or anything in the floors. When in doubt, the simpler the better! Just a plain wall will work and gives a look that is one of my personal favorites.
There are so many things you can wear to give a different look. All these options are something I'm sure most women have and makes it even more personal. Boudoir isn't just wearing lingerie but feeling sexy in anything! Here are some options that are sexy and great to start off with for a more casual look if you need to get you comfortable in front of the camera first. These make for a absolutely gorgeous lifestyle look.
When taking boudoir selfies with your phone, here's a great tip! Put your phone on a tripod and do a video in a certain pose and let yourself freely move around in that pose. Play with your hair, eyes at the camera, looking down or try grabbing and pulling on your clothes. Then you can screen shot from your video to get your favorite shot!!
If you want to do a soft edit for any major blemishes there are plenty of free apps out there that are free. Here are a few below. Try to keep it natural so you can appreciate you for you:) Boudoir photography is all about you embracing your true beauty.
